If you are looking for a guaranteed successful holiday destination – choose Hawaii.

Many people dream about visiting these amazing islands, below are three reasons why everyone should try to have an Hawaiian experience.

1. Perfect Relaxing Holiday – However active you are, rest is still important, especially on a holiday. It is easy to relax in Hawaii as the surroundings are so beautiful. In Hawaii a rest doesn’t have to mean lying down, even a stroll along the beach or down to a local caf, will feel relaxing as there is not the hassle and pressure of busy living.

2. Great Outdoor Activities – Once you have recharged your batteries there are plenty of activities to choose from. The obvious ones are related to their beautiful beaches. The beaches offer snorkeling, diving, wind surfing, swimming and much more. There are also however, a beautiful hike available up the volcanic mountains. These offer an experience which is unique to Hawaii.

3. Hawaiian Culture – No one knows exactly when the Hawaiian islands were first inhabited, but the natives are very keen to maintain their culture and accordingly it is on display all the time. You will find plenty of festivals and shows of traditional celebrations whatever time of year you visit.

Whatever you are looking for in a holiday, Hawaii will be able to offer it. The Hawaiian islands are often associated with wedding and romance, but they are also great for families.

The kids will love the outdoor life of Hawaii. This is a great opportunity for them to try lots of different sports and you can organize lessons or book them into a kids club, so you will also get some time out. Equally, if you are all going to spend your time together there are plenty of relaxing ways to pass the time as a family.

Whatever you are looking for in your holiday you will probably find it in Hawaii.

Gatwick airport is London’s second biggest airport. It is the 8th largest (by passenger traffic) airport in Europe, and is one of the top 30 busiest airports in the world. It also has the single busiest runway in the world.

Gatwick recently announced plans to expand their infrastructure with a one billion pound investment aimed at improving the visitor experience in terms of everything from access to aesthetics. Those responsible for running the airport feel that this investment will allow them to match, or even surpass, Heathrow airport, whose shadow it is has constantly had to exist under, in terms of amenities and passenger accessibility.

Though Gatwick has always been considered a ‘lesser’ airport than Heathrow, this is due to the merits of the latter rather than any shortcomings in the former. Indeed, Gatwick airport has a history that warrants more attention than it is generally given…

#1 – Advances in Architecture

Gatwick unveiled the world’s first circular airport terminal (named the ‘Beehive’) in 1936. It was an extraordinary achievement, as it was the first terminal to combine literally every necessary stage of air travel. There was a rail link directly to the terminal, and for the first time passengers could directly board their aircraft instead of having to travel across the runway on foot or by bus.

#2 – Private Fliers

Gatwick was not originally build to be a public airport. In its early years, it was used as a home for a private flying club. The flying club that used it, which was the Surrey Aero Club, became so popular though, and brought so much attention to the airport, that it was soon granted a commercial flying license, which meant that members of the public could fly in and out of it.

#3 – The Queen Of England

The Queen of England has twice graced Gatwick airport with her presence. Queen Elizabeth II first attended to re-open the airport after it underwent a major redevelopment in 1956, and she returned thirty years later with her husband Prince Phillip to preside over the opening of the new North Terminal.

#4 – The Blitz

The second World War saw Gatwick become primarily a military airport, to aid Britain with its air to air combat against the deadly German air-force. Gatwick participated when it was requisitioned by the RAF as a combat airfield, and provided service to a number of important operations necessary to keeping England’s skies clear of bombers.

All flights to Bangkok from the UK are out of London Heathrow. British Airways and Quantas offer Bangkok flights, as well as flights to Singapore and Hong Kong, as one of its stopping points on the “kangaroo route” to Australia. Also try Thai Airways and Taiwanese carrier, Eva Airways.Cheap flights to Bangkok are easy to find thanks to healthy competition for this route.

There are two major airports in Bangkok. THe older Don Muang Airport was one of southeast Asia’s busiest, but it has been supplanted by the new Bangkok International Suvarnabhui Airport. The new airport has the world’s largest enclosed terminal as an example of the investment that Thailand is making in its infrastructure. Both airports are within’ miles of the city of Bangkok, and buses, taxis, and hired cars will transport you to either one.

The best time to visit Bangkok is during the busy season which is during November to March, but you will have to shell out more money to enjoy the experience. Weather conditions are perfect at this time of the year and you will surely have a comfortable stay. The only rider is that you will have to spend almost double charges on flights and hotel accommodation as compared to lean season. During lean season, rates are quite less, but the weather is not conducive as it rains during that time making the weather hot and humid. There is rainfall in this area between June to October.

While there are many beaches and resorts in Thailand, many people still flock to Bangkok. Bangkok will not disappoint an tourist or person, as there is a lot of history and culture to be seen and taken in.

World-class nighttime entertainment is a stroll away and shoppers can find everything from antiques to designer clothing. Thailand’s culture center since the’th century, Bangkok is also the country’s bustling capital. Peaceful Thai villages nestle among glass buildings and stylish restaurants.

You also have the option of taking the BTS sky train, subway, bus or river taxi. Drivers are aggressive in Bangkok, so if you want the convenience of your own car, hire a car and driver for the day.Getting around Bangkok on foot is an option, but it is slow. Tuk-tuks and cabs are inexpensive and almost always faster than walking.

Tuk-tuk fares are negotiated, so never got into one until the fare has been decided. Drivers are known to claim that the attraction you’re looking for is closed, and to steer you to special shopping excursions instead. They may offer to take you to a friend’s shop for free. You should know that such trips are scams, in which the driver receives some of the money you would spend buying overpriced gewgaws.

Some places you will want to check out will in Bangkok are the National Museum and the Grand Palace. The National Museum will allow you the opportunity to learn the history of Thailand. While the Grand Palace allows you to see one of the most famous architectural symbols. And it is sill in use by the Thai Royal Family for ceremonies

The Reclining Buddah is 157 feet long and 49 feet high, gold plated and inlaid with mother of pearl on the soles of its feet. The Joe Luis Theater holds unique nightly puppet theater performances. The puppeteers are trained dancers and are also on stage, playing an integral part of the show.Bangkok’s oldest, largest and most famous temple is Wat Pho, Temple of the Reclining Buddha.

With the dawn of the new era, it appears that the world is becoming smaller and the destinations appear to have come closer and that is the reason that travelling by air has become one of the most popular modes of travel today. It has become a topic of history when you had to pay a visit to some reputed travel agent in order to book a ticket and also for them to arrange for the other travel related items like that of a hotel or car rental. This method, at some times, used to become cumbersome because the prospective travellers had to wait for the call back from the travel agent concerned, giving them details about the travel plans. Now this has become something from the past and you can now do all this online with the click of a few buttons.

Currently, purchasing flight tickets is very simple. The competition between airlines makes it necessary for them to give eye-catching deals to customers, including allowances such as alteration of travel dates, reduced prices for tickets, and a stopover breaks in your journey. All you need is a credit or debit card, and the ability to access the internet. Log onto your preferred airline and enter your travel dates. Then choose your travel package and pay via the internet without having to step out of your house.

Make a list of your preferred dates and destinations, and go to websites with a notebook handy so you can get just what you want. Remember it’s usually less money to fly mid-week. So you can go away for a week, but start out on a day like Wednesday and end on the same day the next week. Try not to go during peak times like for instance holidays, when fares are sky high and the plane may be all booked up anyway.

Once you have taken the decision, book an air ticket for you at least one month in advance. Airline fares remain fluctuating at a fast rate due to the ups and downs in the fuel prices and foreign exchange rates. If you have no one to pick you and your family up from the airport then it would be easier for you to get a package deal that includes air fare, car rental and also the hotel accommodation charges. This way you can ensure for yourself that you would not be left stranded at the airport in case you happen to arrive at the dead of the night.

Buying an airline ticket over the Internet is vastly different in some respects than buying one through a travel agency. For one thing, a travel agent has a little more room to make changes to your travel itinerary, whereas you’ll have to get things right the first time if you do it all yourself. And since there are some restrictions placed on tickets sold online, you’ll have to know what these restrictions are – and even whether your ticket is valid – so that you can make changes to your return date, for instance, in the event that you’re unexpectedly delayed from going home. If you get a really good deal on the price of a ticket, always be sure whether you’re entitled to a refund just in case you can’t make it to your destination, due to some unforeseen event or other.

If you fall under a category like a student or senior or if you work in a certain type of job, you may be eligible for one of the many discount tickets available nowadays. Frequent flyer miles can also allow you to get a discount or to periodically fly free of cost. Isn’t that something to look forward to!

Now that everything is in order, remember to make a printout of your electronic ticket and keep it in a safe place. If you don’t remember this step, take heart. Your airline will have all the necessary information in electronic format, so it’s not even necessary for you to actually print your e-ticket. It does, however, make things a little more convenient if you can possibly manage to have your e-ticket with you when you arrive at the airport.

Surely now you can see why it’s better to book your flights online rather than going through the old-fashioned method of working with a travel agent. With just one click of a button, you can book your flight, sit back and let the world go by as you ponder your untroubled future journey to the destination of your choice.

With air services expanding their operations to even less-known destinations around the world and offering tickets at affordable rates, many people prefer to travel by air. Keeping inline with the number of flights, travel agencies have also multiplied their presence online and lure travelers with competitive prices of airfare. Do you want to join the band of travelers who strike the best deals by booking their tickets online? Try to follow these tips when you fly again.

If you want to save a little money on your next flight, just exercise a little patience. Search the Internet, compare a few websites, and narrow your options down to two or three different possibilities. Next, get hold of a travel agent and speak to him or her about what you’ve found online and see if they can do better for you. Because they have access to many different carriers, they may be able to offer you some alternatives of which you were not aware at a much cheaper price.

When you book your flight online, try and remember the small details. Take, for instance, your meals. If you’re particular about your food, explore all your options. Try and find out whether the flight you’re interested in booking has a meal option. If not, there may be other flights that will offer you a meal while you’re in flight.

Don’t book flights at conventional times if you’re looking to save money. You might be able to save about 30 percent by flying during the week. Off hours, like those around midnight, usually cost less also. So when you’re ready to fly, be sure to look around for the biggest savings.

If you’re trying to save money, go for a travel plan with connecting planes rather than a direct flight. Check out both and compare them with each other. But be sure to think about the gap in between connecting flights. If there isn’t enough time and the first plane is late, you could wind up missing your next plane.

When you want to compare various flight options before you, while browsing over the internet, don’t forget to read between the lines and also find out the grand total amount which you would have to pay for the ticket to be bought inclusive of all the taxes, etc. Also find out what the portion of the various taxes is. Once you read the fine print, then you would not have to remorse later.

Also find out about the cancellation fees before cancellation, so that you are aware of the terms of cancellation. Keep an eye on some of the off-season deals, which are provided by airlines, so you might get a benefit of your deal.

Using online websites to get the cheapest airfares does not require any specific tricks or rules. Along with a bit of patience, make sure to keep a close eye on the ever-changing prices. When you think you’ve found the best deal, go for it!

If you want to get good deals on flights to Cape Town, visit the author’s site at www.bestflgiths.co.za

For nearly 50 years, Thai Airways has built a reputation for excellent customer service. It has most recently won awards from Skytrax in 2006 for Worlds Best Cabin Staff and placed second in 2007 in the Best Airline in the World category. It is the national carrier of Thailand, operating out of its hub at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Thai Airways also offers many non-stop passenger flights from Chaing Mai International Airport, Don Mueang International Airport and Phuket International Airport.

The Airway International Company Limited was formed in’60 as a joint venture between Thailand’s domestic airline, Thai Airways Company and Scandinavian Airline System. It was after 17 years that the government bought SAS”s holdings which made it the sole owner of the airline.

The first flights began operations from Bangkok to nine destinations within the Asian region. The first intercontinental flights were to Australia, then Europe and North American by’80. After a merger with the Thai Airways Company, the company experienced faster growth as Thailands only national carrier.

In’97, Thai Airways was a founding member of the Star Alliance network through which member airlines codeshare with each other, expanding their flight offerings. Additional partnerships have allowed Thai Airways to expand its list of destinations to include Africa (ending Jan. 16, 2009), China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kuwait, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Russia, Spain Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia, and New Zealand. The airlines route from Bangkok to Los Angeles is among the longest non-stop commercial flights currently operated.

Thai Airways has a fleet capacity that comprises 89 aircraft. The largest aircraft that they have in the fleet is the Boeing 767-400 that has a seating capacity of 389 passengers.

There are four travel classes that an airline may offer, which include Royal First, Royal Silk, Premium Economy, and Economy.

Royal First Class offers flat-bed seats and is available mostly on Europe-Australia and some intra-Asian flights. Seats are equipped with touch screens, audio-video on demand and in-flight entertainment systems and lumbar massage. Passengers may also choose from more than 20 meal options.

Royal Silk is the equivalent of the business class and includes angled, lie-flat business class seats that offer lumbar massage. All seats have 17-20 touch screens and AVOD and IFE.

Premium Economy Class is available on intercontinental flights from Bangkok and Los Angeles on the Airbus A40-500. Fewer seats are available on these planes to offer more room for the reclining seats and leg rests. These seats also come with 10.5 touch screens with AVOD and IFE.

When compared to the other travel classes, economy class has less room space but it still includes AVOD

Thai Airlines has a frequent flyer miles program called Royal Orchid Plus. More than 2,000,000 people all over the world belong to the program. There are three levels in the program, Member, Silver and Gold. You can earn miles for flying on Thai Airlines, and also for code share flights to and from Bangkok, Thailand. You can also earn miles for flights on the partner airlines, which are Alliance and Jet Airways. You can even earn miles for staying at a partner hotel.

One of the seven Thai Departure Lounges at Suvarnbhumi Airport can be visited by Thai Royal Silk Class,Star Alliance Gold passengers and Thai Royal First Class passengers.Traditional Thai massage, spa Jacuzzi suites and foot massage is offered by the Royal Orchid Spa.

Traveling internationally means something different to all of us. Some will be going on a holiday while others may be traveling for business purposes for example. Either way many people will choose the option for discount international air travel. Of course this really does depend on your financial situation and whether or not you are happy to accept the compromises that go with this form of traveling. What I mean by this is that to keep airfares at discounted prices the airlines will offer you for example alternatives such as layovers instead of direct flights. Now this may not be a bother to some people but to others it can be very disruptive to their travel plans.

I would seriously suggest to you that before you purchase your discount international air travel tickets you should really do your homework and find out whether these compromises are worth the reduced prices. For instance if you are flying with young children, you may wish to get to your destination as quickly as possible (for the sanity of all) without the hassle of stopping over at airports for hours waiting to catch the connecting flight. Children do not cope terribly well with long delays in airports. They can become quite irritable and understandably so.

Some discount international air travel options also can mean that you may not be landing at the nearest airport to where you want to go to, meaning you will have to find alternative transport to get you to your final destination. This may become quite costly. So when you add it all up it may have been much better to go for a more expensive flight. This is why I stress that you do your homework first.

Some airlines may also cut back on the extras that you get during your onboard flight. This may mean less to eat and drink. They may offer you snacks to buy which can be expensive too. Again, this may not bother some while it will bother others. Make sure when you are purchasing your tickets either through the airline or the travel agency that you ask lots of questions to make sure that you will be happy with the flight. After all whether you are flying full price or discounted it is still a lot of money to be spending when you fly internationally.

I suppose the good thing these days though is that there really is the option in the first place to be able to acquire discount international air travel. This opens up the world to so many people who probably would never have been able to afford to go overseas before but now can. So, save your money, do your homework and enjoy your time away from home for whatever reason it is that you are.

The fear of flying is called Aviophobia, and millions of air travelers and potential flyers worldwide suffer from it, to a greater or lesser extent. It can be triggered by a number of concerns such as the fear of heights, the fear of falling, the fear of takeoff and landing, the fear of crashing, the fear of flying over water, the feeling of loss of control causing panic attacks, air turbulence, stormy weather, hijackers or terrorists, motion sickness, claustrophobia, as well as other phobias.

If your fear of flying is very severe, you should enroll in an intensive treatment program. However, if your fear of flying is not severe, there are some things you can do that may help remedy the problem.

Sit in a seat over the wings, preferably not a window seat, so you can’t look down at the ground. When you sit over the airplane wings you will experience a much smoother ride.

If you can, leave your seatbelt on as much as possible so if air turbulence does occur you won’t get jarred or bounced about as much.

If you can, avoid eating or drinking any food or beverage that contains sugar, caffeine, or alcohol.

It will help a lot if you try to stay positive and always think only positive thoughts.

If you can fly at off-peak times, you will probably feel less stressed as there are fewer airplane passengers to contend with.

Many airline passengers also suffer from the fear of heights and claustrophobia, in addition to the fear of flying, which can easily compound the problem.

When it comes to air travel, a large number of individuals hit the skies daily. People fly for all different reasons. Some individuals need to make a business trip, others are visiting friends or family, others are going on vacation, and some are making a cross country move. If you are moving, there is a good chance that you may need to bring your pet along with you. If this is the case, you will find that you are subject to a whole new set of air travel rules. Before leaving for the airport, with your pet or pets in tow, you are advised to famialrize yourself with those rules.

The first step in traveling, in the air, with a pet is to make sure that they are even allowed. Certain pets are allowed to be on airplanes, but that does not mean that all airlines will allow it. If you are planning on traveling with your pet, you will need to inform your airline of this information upfront. This is vital because not all airlines will allow you to bring a pet onboard. Therefore, if you do not check with your airline before heading to the airport, you may be unable to board your flight.

When traveling with a pet, you will need to keep that pet contained. That means that if you are traveling with an animal, such as a dog or a cat, that animal will likely need to be in a carrier. When purchasing an animal carrier, it is important to know that not all carriers are permitted onboard. If you will be keeping your animal in the cabin with you, as opposed to having your animal treated as checked baggage, you will need to make sure that your pet carrier will not negatively affect other passengers. Your pet carrier must not block aisle ways or encroach on other passengers seating spaces. In addition to these general rules and restrictions, you may find that each airline has their own set of pet carrier rules.

Almost all airlines require that your pets have the proper documents before being allowed on their airplanes. These documents most commonly include information on your pets health. Most airlines require that your pet undergoes a medical evaluation before being transported by airplane. This information is not only used to ensure that your pet is healthy enough to fly, but is also used to ensure that they are protected with the proper vaccinations. Proper vaccinations will not only protect your pet, but other passengers, as well as airline staff.

Once you have received clearance from the airline, which you wish to fly on, purchased the appropriate pet equipment, and obtained the proper health checks for your pet, you will need to wait until your day of travel. On that day, you may want to arrive at the airport a little bit earlier than recommended. This will help to ensure that you could quickly straighten out a problem, without having to miss your flight, should one arise.

When you and your pet arrive at the airport, whether it be early or not, you will both be required to go through airport security. Your pet will be required to pass through a metal detector, just like everyone else. If you are using a pet carrier, it is also likely that your pet carrier will be subject to examination. This examination most commonly includes being sent though the x-ray machine with your carryon luggage; however, it is important to note that your pet will not have to go through the x-ray machine; the metal detector should be enough.

As previously mentioned, not all airlines allow their passengers to fly with their pets, even in the cabin or below deck. That is why it is advised that you determine whether or not your pet can fly with you, ahead of time. In addition to different air travel rules, you may also find that some airlines charged extra fees for pet passengers. In the event that you are charged, you will be notified of this charge ahead of time.
