Have you ever wondered how to make a person love you – how to catch him and keep him? Well a man is like any other wild animal. You have to trap him and when he is yours, the subsequent job is to tame him. Make him your special pet which will come running at your beck and call. But how do you attain these feats?

First of all to draw in a man you need to use the right bait. What’s the best bait to catch a man? Sex. That is what they’ll react to every time. Now this does not imply to run around naked and let him chase you to the bedroom. You have to be much more cunning than that.

You are the bait alright but , you’re going to make that bait tough to get. You’re going to be a lot of fun and you’re going to luxuriate in long obsessed kisses. Then just when he thinks that he has the bait, you take it away. Be hard to contact. Make him sweat for a week or so and then call him and explain about how busy you’ve been and how much you missed him.

Then you start the entire procedure over again till you see him begin to become put off and then you will have to allow him have the bait.

By this point he knows who has got the higher hand and that he has to go by your rules. You’re the master and he’s the pet. He is tamed and housebroken.

Now that you have gone to all this trouble to make a man love you – you wish to keep him forever . The simplest way to do that’s to love him and show you that you love him in every way attainable.

One of the finest dating coaches for girls I have seen is Christian Carter. He wrote one of the biggest sellers for girls in Catch Him and Keep Him.

And the newest package he designed is Catch Him and Keep Him by pros. And what is it exactly? Well, it was created for any woman that wants a lasting connection with a man that only wants to be with her…

Let me explain…

This program was filmed live onstage in los angeles, California. In it, Christian Carter helps you figure out all the extreme questions you have about knowing how men think, why they move away from you and how to get your next husband that only wants you.

Some of the things you will learn :

* How attraction works for guys and the way to make them feel it so everything falls in place for a great relationship

* What a man is actually thinking about when he is saying he is not ready or some excuse for pulling away from you…

* And much much more…

And then Christian pulls up on stage his friends and fellow peers to interview them and even put them on the “hot seat” to reveal the most recent insights in each important area of dating and relations.

In my opinion, the Catch Him and Keep Him by gurus and Christian Carter will help you to learn ways to make a man feel a deeper and more lasting attraction with you that goes way beyond the usual, everyday physical attraction. If you’re feeling that your dating and relationship life is stuck, then you must positively take a look at the program to more your love life forward to bigger and better probabilities.

Best-selling author Terry Pratchett’s most recent (2009) novel Unseen Academicals is a satire on the phenomenon of European football (soccer), plus a number of other social activities that often go along with it. For that reason, the book may have a greater appeal to a UK audience than in America; especially since one of the main themes is football hooliganism, a distinct UK phenomenon.

But this novel is really about a much wider array of human follies and foibles than just football; most of which are universal, American as much as European. Other themes in the book include goblins and orcs, pies of every conceivable (and inconceivable) variety; as well as fashion supermodels and their excessive adulation by the public.

In typically characteristic Pratchett-fashion, everything on the Discworld mirrors things in our own world with a slight and hilarious twist. For example, a tail-gate market on the Discworld becomes a cart-tail market. And instead of cheerleaders, there are naiads dancing on the sidelines.

The main character in the book is the goblin-turned-orc Mr. Nutt, who is one of only a dozen or so surviving orcs on Discworld. In a display of philanthropy, two of the world’s most powerful despotic rulers decide to take Nutt on as a project, to help not only him but his entire persecuted race.

It bears mentioning that the two leaders in question, Lord Vetinari and Lady Margolotta have been at this before. Their previous projects have included rock trolls, werewolves, golems, and vampires, all of which they assisted in becoming integrated and accepted members of human society.

Mr. Nutt gets sent from Lady Margolotta’s Uberwald to Lord Vetinari’s Ankh-Morpork and assigned the task to accumulate ‘worth’ in human society. In doing so, Nutt gains many loyal friends and admirers in his workplace, the Unseen University. Co-worker Trev Likely goes to any length to defend his orc friend, and the head mistress of the Night Kitchen, Miss Glenda Sugarbean (creator of the crusty onion pie) becomes a staunch admirer, which later leads to a budding romance.

After demonstrating his knack for strategic thinking to his superiors at Unseen University, Mr. Nutt gets appointed as coach for the school’s floundering football team. And so a string of events begins to unfold.

Unseen Academicals may be a parody on the phenomenon of European football (soccer), as well as a number of other things thrown in for good measure, but soccer fan or not, this book will give you many hours of joyous reading and barrels of laughs.

New York Times bestselling author Clive Cussler launches a fifth parallel action series with the publication of Spartan Gold, co-authored by up and coming novelist Grant Blackwood.

The books of this new series are called “Fargo Adventures,” so named after the book’s heroes, married couple Sam and Remi Fargo.

After a few years of entrepreneurship early in life which made them a fortune, the Fargos have been able to devote their new lives to their main passion, archeological treasure hunting. And they generally let nothing and no one deter them from finding their prize.

While the Fargo Adventures feature a new cast of characters and a slightly different action venue – treasure hunting – the telltale hallmarks of a true Cussler-novel that we have all come to love and expect still remain: Exotic cars, foods and drinks, as well as lots of excitement on, in and around water.

Through Spartan Gold we follow Sam and Remi Fargo as they pursue a trail of clues left behind by Napoleon Bonaparte on the back of wine-bottle labels from his lost wine cellar. Not only are the clues written as riddles but they are also in code, which they must first crack.

Of course there are also adversaries to be faced and dealt with. A former Soviet freedom fighter turned mafia billionaire sends his hired hooligans to interfere with the Fargos’ investigation, several times imperiling their very lives.

Bondaruk believes the end of the trail will lead to an ancient Greek gold-treasure once conquered by his ancestor, the Persian ruler Xerxes the Great. A treasure which Bondaruk has convinced himself is his rightful heritage, and no one will be allowed to stand in his way of getting it.

The riddles on the wine-bottles lead the Fargos and their adversaries from a WWII German submarine in the Great Pocomoke Swamp of Maryland to the Bahamas and through much of Europe including Monaco, Croatia, Italy, Germany, and Ukraine: not necessarily in that sequence.

In the end, Spartan Gold is a solidly written treasure hunting action novel in the spirit of The Da Vinci Code, and also a distinctly Cusslerian novel undoubtedly destined for a top-spot on the New York Times best-seller list.

Britt Hellman lives in North Carolina with her spouse and three sons. She runs her own copywriting business from home. Clive Cussler has been long time favorite author. Visit her dedicated Cussler site to order the Spartan Gold novel or read her review of the most recent Dirk Pitt novel, Arctic Drift.

Jeff Bezos founded online retail giant Amazon in 1994. The original Amazon website launched shortly afterwards in 1995. Today Amazon is a very successful business and is probably one of the most trusted and recognisable brands in the world. It’s easy to overlook just what a radical concept ordering books on the internet and then receiving them by mail was at the time. There was no shortage of business analysts and investors who forecast that Amazon would struggle – and it wasn’t until the end of 2001 that Amazon reported their first ever profits.

Having altered the way that books were bought by many people, Amazon rapidly expanded into other areas. Music CDs, video (DVD now), personal electronics, toys and computer software were all added to the Amazon inventory. Today you can buy practically any consumer item that you can think of on Amazon’s site – and that includes your weekly grocery shop.

In parallel with the expansion of their product range, Amazon launched additional websites in Germany, France, the UK, Canada and China. However, they never lost their original passion for books and retained a very strong association with book selling in the opinion of the buying public.

This powerful association with books served them well in November 2007 when the original Kindle e-book reader was released. After having changed the manner in which books were bought and delivered, Amazon was now changing the way that books were read – for many people. The Kindle enjoyed a lot of publicity and the e-book market really took off in February 2009 when Amazon launched the upgraded Kindle 2.0

In June of the same year, Amazon followed up with the large format Kindle DX. This sported a larger e-ink display screen and was aimed at readers of magazines, newspapers and academic textbooks. Much of the buzz surrounding the DX was generated by the normally conservative world of academic publishing.

So, the way in which books are purchased, delivered and even read have all been fundamentally changed in a fairly short period of time. The final piece of the jigsaw – publishing – is also likely to evolve in the near future. Large publishing houses will certainly want to produce an e-book version of any new publications in future. The traditional process of hardback release followed by the paperback edition a few months later will be modified by the inclusion of an e-book edition right at the front end of the cycle.

Since publishing e-books is less costly than either hardback or paperback release publishing houses may be encouraged to be more daring in future. It may well mean that a greater number of new authors are published due to the fact that the process is cheaper and therefore involves less financial risk. It could prompt more authors to take greater control by self publishing. In fact, publishing Kindle books is, even now, an achievable goal for anyone who has an Amazon account and who can operate simple word processing software such as Microsoft Word. E-book readers are a true revolution in both reading and publishing.

Back from the time when it all began, The Light Fantastic is the classic second Discworld novel by Terry Pratchett from 1986. Little did anybody know that it would eventually lead to Pratchett becoming Great Britain’s number one best-selling author in the following decade.

Even though Pratchett’s novels take place in an alternate universe, on a “planet” known as the Discworld, his books are really parodies on the peculiarities of our own world. The Light Fantastic pokes fun at the myths of Armageddon and the religious zeal it engenders in some people. Consequently, entranced, mindless throngs coalesce into book burning frenzies and fanatical lynch mobs.

Through the book, we follow the fortunes of a “failed” wizard named Rincewind who possesses a singular talent for surviving by running away. And run he does, because practically everything frightens Rincewind.

Everything, that is, except the one thing that causes everyone else to panic: The new Red Star that has been showing up on the sky and keeps growing in intensity and heat. As Rincewind’s friend Twoflower so aptly puts it: “If there was anything at all to be frightened about, he’d be frightened. But he’s not. The star is just about the only thing I’ve ever seen him not frightened of. If he’s not worried, then take if it from me, there’s nothing to worry about.”

In the end, it turns out that Twoflower is right in using Rincewind as the barometer for any real threat to the world as they know it. Rincewind is, after all, the Discworld’s leading authority on when to panic.

The adventures of Rincewind and Twoflower take them through a forest of talking trees, a visit with predominantly friendly rock trolls, travelling through the universe in a magic gift shop and through the skies on a druid-levitated rock, narrowly escaping Death after visiting the netherworlds, and saving a sacrificial virgin against her most ardent insistence: Things that are possible on the Discworld and nowhere else.

In the end, it’s really all about a powerful magic spell that has lodged itself in Rincewind’s brain, waiting for the Red Star to appear before reuniting with seven other spells to be read at the appointed time in order to turn the path of Great A’Tuin away from his (or her) collision course with the Red Star.

Great A’Tuin, needless to say, is the enormous sea turtle carrying the Discworld on its back through the Universe. Just in case you were of the mistaken impression that all planets were spherical and revolved around stars.

The Light Fantastic is a great read and highly recommended, though I must caution, it requires great discipline in order to not laugh out loud if read in quiet public spaces such as libraries. It can be read as a standalone book or as part of the series.

Starting in spring 2010, Amazon Kindle users will be able to download over 65,000 19th century classic books that will have the look of a first edition for free. The novels of such famous authors as Jane Austen, Thomas Hardy and Charles Dickens will be electronically stored using the original illustrations and type face to give an e-book with an antique feel.

Dame Lynne Brindley, the British Library’s Chief Executive, said that making 19th century fiction available at no charge would open up a new global readership for some forgotten literary gems. Around 25 million digitized pages will be made available.

Over the past three years the British Library has worked with Microsoft to digitally store text and images from works which are out of copyright. Special “Turning The Pages” software, which Microsoft helped to develop, allows users to access rare books and manuscripts from authors such as Lewis Carroll, Mozart and Leonardo da Vinci. In addition to viewing a visual representation of a page turning, readers can zoom in to a page, change the orientation and view details of illustrations.

Every work of literature published in the UK has at least one copy held in the British Library. Of the 19th century works, around 40% are not available in any other library.

The spring launch of the 19th century literature is the latest phase in an ongoing digitizing project which has already made around two million 19th century British newspaper pages available. A further 50 million items are planned to be stored in this manner by 2020. Scanning of 20th century books which are out of copyright is planned to start in the near future – but finance for this part of the project has yet to be confirmed.

For readers who prefer something more conventional, printed copies of the books with the same “first edition” look of the originals will be on sale from Amazon’s website. Prices are estimated at $ 23 (15). An original by Dickens or Austen in good condition would cost around $ 400, and could be considerably more depending upon the title and demand.

Amazon’s Kindle e-book reader is very definitely the market leader of all e-book readers right now. It enjoys a 60% share of the American e-book reader market – the Sony PRS reader is in second place with around 35%. Both the Kindle 2.0 and the larger Kindle DX are now being sold in more than 100 countries worldwide. The fact that virtually every new e-book reader which shows the slightest promise is instantly given the title of “Kindle Killer” is a testament to the fact that the Kindle is not just the market leader, but also sets the standard against which any new reader is going to be measured.

Considering the dominance of the Kindle, it’s easy to forget just what a recent addition it is to the e-book reader scene. The first e-book reader – the Franklin eBookman – launched in 1999, more than a decade ago. The Sony PRS hit the market in 2006. It wasn’t until November 2007 that we saw the launch of the original Kindle. The upgraded Kindle 2.0 was released in February of 2009 and the DX followed in June of the same year.

In the meantime, Amazon’s competition have been busy. The Sony Daily Edition reader was launched as was the Nook reader from Barnes and Noble. Even the new iPad from Apple is perceived by many to be a threat to the Kindle. There are plenty of other new e-book readers available and the newer ones incorporate features which are lacking from the current Kindle – touch screen controls, color screen etc.

So how will Amazon respond? So far, apart from a few firmware updates, Amazon’s main answer to increased competition has been to drop the price of the Kindle 2.0 from its $ 359 launch price to $ 259. However, rumours abound that a new version of the Kindle is in the offing. Which begs the question – what should Amazon do to update the Kindle?

One of the reasons why the Kindle is so successful is that it provides a great user experience. It’s easy to use with one hand, the controls are very good and the display is excellent in a variety of different ambient lighting conditions. It would almost be a shame were Amazon to follow the example of the Sony Daily Edition and introduce touch screen controls. If all you want to do is read books then this probably isn’t a big step forward. If anything, it makes one handed operation more difficult. It also requires a slightly more reflective screen which will under perform in certain lighting.

The introduction of color would certainly be a step forward but, were it to be achieved in a similar manner to Barnes and Noble’s Nook – which features color navigation only with the main reader screen still in monochrome – it would be pretty pointless. Reading black text on a white background is probably normal for around 90% of books – so although color would be nice, it’s not going to be a high priority for many readers.

What Amazon may decide to do, and what they have done better than all of their competitors to date, is to provide a superior user experience. Instead of concentrating on gimmicky hardware enhancements, Amazon may decide to introduce options which will be genuinely useful for their customers. Faster page turns with less screen flicker and prolonged battery life may be enhancements which users would find desirable. Similarly, greater choice of e-books, quicker downloads and the potential to share Kindle books may be more important to some users than major hardware mods.

Amazon has assumed the position of market leader due to their ability to meet customer needs. Unsurprisingly they understand what people who read books actually want. As a result, the Kindle is now their number one selling product and, so far, they have not just led the market but pretty well defined it. The next iteration of the Kindle will show exactly which way the market will develop in future. On the balance of probabilities, it seems likely that Amazon will continue to lead the e-book reader market, not follow.

Have a look at the Amazon Kindle reader – and the various Kindle accessories available to help you customise and enhance it.

As always, Clive Cussler’s latest novel stays right on top of current geopolitical events. Arctic Drift, set in 2011, centers on global warming and the financial crisis.

The crook in Arctic Drift is a Canadian energy empire billionaire by the name of Mitchell Goyette who is publicly admired for his green technology businesses, while concealing his heavy involvement in natural gas and oil.

Meanwhile, the United States faces an unprecedented financial crisis, made worse by the international threat of a trade boycott if the country does not find a way to cut greenhouse gas emissions from coal burning power plants. Canada, with its vast resources of natural gas, may hold the key to saving its southern neighbor.

The American president in 2011, when the story takes place, plans to use natural gas from Canada to replace both coal and automobile gasoline, thereby killing two birds with one stone. The nation would make huge savings by cutting down on expensive oil imports, and simultaneously reduce greenhouse gas emissions by burning a cleaner fuel.

However, Goyette is in a perfect position to take advantage of the United State’s desperate gamble, and he does so without conscience. To the Canadian public, Goyette is an environmental hero who invests millions in wind power and carbon sequestration. Unbeknownst to the masses, he’s unscrupulously involved in every dirty industry that will make him more money, in particular the oil sands of Athabasca, Alberta, and the Melville natural gas fields of the Canadian Arctic, over which he has full control.

With one hand, Goyette makes a deal with the U.S. government to supply nearly limitless amounts of natural gas at market price from the Melville fields to help solve the American energy crisis, and indirectly the financial crisis. But with his other hand, he secretly strikes a deal with the Chinese to instead sell them all of the gas from Melville at 10% above market prices, with no intention of honoring his agreement with the American government.

(In reality, it seems a little farfetched that the American government would not have had an iron-clad, legally binding, written contract in place for a deal of this magnitude and importance. But it makes for a good story.)

However, Goyette’s double-dealing with the U.S. and China may actually be the least of his crimes. He’s also guilty of assassination, bribing politicians, creating toxic waste that kills people and wildlife, and almost instigating a war between the U.S. and Canada.

What Goyette does not count on, of course, is Dirk Pitt, the hero of 20 Clive Cussler books, including this latest installment. In the end, good prevails over evil.

The co-authorship between father and son Cussler in Arctic Drift appears seamless. Their penmanship cannot be separated. Whatever parts of the book were written by the younger Cussler, he did a magnificent job of adopting his father’s inimitable style. (Intentional oxymoron!)

Arctic Drift is a thrilling read in classic Clive Cussler style. You will not be disappointed. It may not be the edge-of-your-seat non-stop action from cover-to-cover as in some of the older Cussler works, but it’s still an exciting, intriguing and brilliantly written story that keeps your attention and makes you want to keep reading. The thugs are as smart as they are sinister, and the heroes as pure as Arctic ice.

Britt Hellman resides in Western North Carolina with her husband and three children. She runs her own copywriting company from her house. Clive Cussler has been one of her favorite writers since reading his Trojan Odyssey in 2003. She writes reviews like this one on Arctic Drift, by Clive and Dirk Cussler, for the fun of sharing that excitement.

The skyrocketing popularity of audio books can turn out to be a major boon for online audio book stores because today, many more folk will come to an on line audio book store looking to order audio books on line because they may wish to gift an audio book to someone, or simply purchase it to fill in the hours in a more nice demeanour.

In any case, there are actually many good reasons why you would need to order audio books on line like that audio books being widely available for such a big amount of different subjects, and in addition, you will find many of the most recent bestsellers as too self-help audio books as also some great westerns.

If you are trying to find traditional books, you would generally go to a bookstore, but when searching for audio books online outlets appear to provide a wider selection. There are a few online resources that offer a wide range of subjects while many others are geared towards a specific genre.

The major benefit of buying audio books online naturally is not having to wait for the mailman to bring them. While the books are available in cassette and compact disk format, one of the more popular methods of delivery is thru a file download.

While the prospect of buying audio books on line is appealing, there may be some websites and books that limit how they can be treated when they are downloaded. It might not appear fair, but some outlets restrict the download to being played back only on the device to that the file was transferred, meaning it can only be listened to from the computer to which it was downloaded. This is most often the case with some of the free downloads with plenty of the bought audio books online capable of being transferred to a compact disk.

One of the disadvantages of purchasing audio books on line is not having them prominently displayed on a bookcase. Those transferred to a compact disk can be placed in the jewel case and put on a shelf, but they just don’t have the same appeal as a bookcase full of books in the room.

Many Public Domain Books Offered Free

There are several online libraries devoting their time and effort to make the books listed in the general public domain available free as digital downloads.
